Getting to Sardon Village: boats and parking
First of all, a reassurance: you don't need any shuttle service to run the Sardon Run. All distances are looped, starting and finishing at the same point, Sardon Village. The shuttle service is only for those who choose the affiliated car park – an added convenience, not a mandatory transfer.
The five distances on offer for 22 August 2026 — 7, 17, 22, 49 and 71 km — are all loop courses: the start and finish coincide at the Isola del Villaggio del Pescatore in Duino, where the Sardon Village is located. This applies to runners and their companions alike: there are no race transfers to arrange, no buses to catch to reach the start or return from the finish. You only move if and when you want to.
Those who prefer not to think about where to leave their car can book the affiliated car park: a shuttle service is available 5 minutes from the Village, with departures every 20 minutes from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cost, from €5, includes the shuttle.
